The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Dholpur House, New Delhi will hold a preliminary screening test for the Indian Forest Service (IFS) Examination 2021 for recruitment to the Indian Forest Service Officers. (Advertisement No. 05/2021-IFoS)
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold a Screening Test for selection to Indian Forest Service Examination, 2021 through Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2021 which will be held on 27th June 2021.
The pattern of the Indian Forest Service Examination 2021 has been changed and candidates for IFS Examination 2021 need to appear in the Indian Civil Service Examination (Preliminary) 2021 for the same. The Main Examination is likely to be held in November 2021.
UPSC Indian Forest Service Examination 2021 Details
Post Vacancies: 110 approx.
Age: Not less than 21 years and not more than 32 years as of 1st August 2021. The upper age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree of any recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in the notice.
Number of attempts: The maximum number of attempts permissible to different categories of aspirants, who are otherwise eligible, will be as (i) General Category – 6 attempts, (ii) OBC – 9 attempts (iii) SC/ST – No limit
Plan of Examination: The Indian Forest Service Examination will consist of two successive stages (i) Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective type) for the selection of candidates for the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination; and (ii) Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates for the Indian Forest Service.
Application Fee
Candidates applying (excepting Female/SC/ST/PH candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) for Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination are required to pay a fee of ₹100/- either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of SBI or by using Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit card.

Candidates are required to apply Online only by using the website http://www.upsconline. nic.in. Brief instructions are for filling up the online Applications Form have been given in Appendix-II(A). Date of Online Application :The Online Applications (Part I and II) can be filled from 04th March, 2021
LAST DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS : The Online Applications can be filled upto 24th March, 2021 till 18.00 Hours, after which the link will be disabled. Detailed instructions regarding filling of online application is available at Appendix-II(A).
WITHDRAWAL OF APPLICATION: The online Applications can be withdrawn from 31.03.2021 to 06.04.2021 till 6.00 PM after which the link will be disabled. Detailed instructions regarding withdrawal of Applications is available at Appendix-II(B).
