Govt of Assam Fees Structure Guideline for Private Schools

 

 In pursuance of The Assam Non-Government Educational Institutions (Regulation of Fees) Act, 2018 and The Assam Non-Government Educational Institutions (Regulation of Fees) Rules 2020. Government of Assam has constituted a Fee Regulatory Committee. The Govt. of Assam vide Notification No.ASE.685/2019/395 dated Dispur the 19th October, 2020 also fixed maximum annual fee to be charged by Non. Government Educational Institutions as mentioned below :

1. Pre-Primary and Class I to Class V  – Rs.27000.00  Amount of Total Fee (per annum)

2. Class VI to Class X –  Rs.32000.00 Amount of Total Fee (per annum)

3. Class XI to XII – 

   • Science Stream – Rs.37000.00 Amount of Total Fee (per annum)
   • Arts Stream – Rs.32000.00 Amount of Total Fee (per annum)
   • Commerce Stream –  Rs.33000.00 Amount of Total Fee (per annum)
   • Other Stream – Rs.35000.00 Amount of Total Fee (per annum)

    

Note : The total fees means all types of fees, collected by whatever name like admission fees, tuition fee, building or infrastructure development fee, sports/cultural fee etc. but excluding the transportation fees. 

 

The Non-Government Educational Institutions, charging annual fee equal or below the above mentioned amount, have to apply for exemption certificate from the Fee Regulatory Committee and the Non-Government Educational Institutions, who intend to charge fee above than the fee prescribed by Government, have to apply for fee fixation before the Fee Regulation Committee with proper justification. 

 

The concerning Non-Government Educational Institutions are hereby requested to visit the website of Fee Regulatory Committee, Assam for details for application for fee fixation as well as for obtaining exemption certificate. All the concerning educational institutions are requested to submit their applications online before 15.1.2021 for fixation of their fees for the Academic year 2021-22 on the website www.feeregulatoryassam.com.
