The Assam Government has finally started laying the groundwork for the ambitious ‘Orunodoi’ scheme that seeks to provide a monthly sum of Rs 830 to 19 lakh economically backward households in the State. As per the notification, the ‘Orunodoi’ scheme initiative is an endeavor “to empower the women of the State and to provide financial support to the economically vulnerable families.”
