The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council was established on 1st of June, 1984 to Regulate, Supervise and Develop the System of Higher Secondary Education ( + 2 stage ) in the State of Assam.
Education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that AHSEC is going to held HS final year examination from 11th May 2021. Students who are going to appear in Assam HS 2nd year Board exam under AHSEC may now download their exam routine from this article as mentioned below.

- Name of board: Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC)
- Examination standard: 12th Standard
- Discipline/ Stream: Arts, Commerce, Science & Vocational
- Starting date of practical exam: 20th April 2021
- End date of practical exam: 5th May 2021
The exams will be organized in two shifts – the morning shift (9 AM to 12 PM) and the afternoon shift (1:30 PM to 4:30 PM). While the practical exams will be held from 20th April till 5th May, the theory/written exams will be held from 11th May till 14th June, 2021.
- Modern Indian Languages include: Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Garo, Hmar, Hindi, Khasi, Manipuri, Mizo, Nepali & Urdu.
- Advance Languages include: Advance Assamese, Advance Bengali, Advance Bodo, Advance Hindi & Advance Manipuri.
- Music (Group A) include: Hindustani Vocal, Kathak Dance, Tabla, Violin & Sitar
- Music (Group B) include: Sattriya Vocal Music (Borgeet), Sattriya Dance & Khol
- Music (Group C) include: (i) Assamese Folk Music/ (ii) Assamese Folk Dance
