Directorate of Handloom & Textile Assam Recruitment Notice for Handloom & Textile Specialist

 For smooth implementation of the World Bank financed Assam Agribusiness and Rural Transformation Project (APART), eight Core Project Implementation Units (CPIUs) have been set up in the participating Administrative Departments and 15 Operational Project Implementation Units (OPIUs) have been established in the participating Commissionerate/ Directorate/Agency. The overall monitoring and coordination of the project is being carried out by the Assam Rural Infrastructure and Agricultural Services (ARIAS) Society (an autonomous body of the Govt of Assam). OPIU- Handloom & Textiles under Directorate of Handloom & Textiles, Assam, one of the OPIU, now intends to hire individual resource for the following position on contractual basis. The minimum required qualifications, experience, age and annual remuneration range for the positions in-short are given below. However, the same shall be as per the respective TOR provided in the website of the Department, Directorate of Handloom & Textiles and ARIAS Society.

Name of the Position – Handloom & Textile Specialist

Minimum Educational Qualifications & Professional Experience –  The candidate must possess a 4 (four) Years Degree in Textile or Handloom Technology or Textile Design from a recognized University/Institute of repute. 

Or 

3 (three) Years Diploma in Textile orHandloom Technology or Textile Design. Working Experience: In case of candidates having Degree in Textile Technology/Handloom Technology/Textile Design, the candidate must have minimum 10 years of working experience in the field of Handloom or Textile Sector. The candidate should have preferably minimum 3 years of working experience in Managerial/ Sr. officer cadre position. The candidate should have experience of project preparation and implementation In any Govt. Department/ Public/Private sector organization. Experience In Weaving/Designing/Product Development is desirable. 

Or 

In case of candidates with Diploma In Textile Technology/Handloom. Technology/Textile Design the candidate must have minimum 12 years of working experience in the field of Handloom or Textile Sector. The candidate should have preferably minimum 3 years of working experience in Managerial/ Sr. officer cadre position. The candidate should have experience of project preparation and Implementation in any Govt Department/ Public/ Private sector organization. Experience In Weaving/Designing/Product Development Is desirable. 

 

Computer Skills: The candidate must have experience of using Internet based applications. using and working with advanced word processing/spreadsheet including MS Word, MS Excel and MS Power Point and other related applications. 

 

Age limit : Age of the candidate should not be more than 50 years as on 1st, Sept 2020.

Remuneration: The fixed consolidated remuneration of H&T-S shall be in the range of Rs. 6.00- Rs. 9.60 lakhs/year.
