A candidate with minimum 50% marks in graduation can appear in CAT 2020. A final year student in graduation can also appear in CAT conducted by IIMs. However, there is no age limit to apply and appear in CAT 2020.
CAT Exam Pattern:
There is no change in the exam pattern of CAT 2020. The exam will be conducted in computer based mode on November 29, 2020 in two slots. A total of 100 questions will be asked with 60 minutes given to each section. There will be three sections – Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Ability. Candidates will be not be allowed to switch from one section to another while answering questions in a section
CAT Exam Centres:
The number of exam centres for CAT 2020 is 156 exam cities as compared to last year. Students while filling the application form can opt for six exam cities as per their preference.
The application fee for CAT has also increased to Rs.2000/- for General candidates and to Rs.1000/- for SC/ST candidates. It should also be paid online only.
