 Online applications are invited from intending eligible Indian citizens as defined in Article5 to 8 of the Constitution of India forfilling up the following posts of  Driver,  Peon  and  Chowkidar  under  the  Commissionerate  of  Labour,  Assam. The  online  applications  will  be  available  in  the Commissionerate  of  Labour, Assam official website (https://labourcommissioner.assam.gov.in/)w.e.f. 11th January, 2021 to 21stJanuary, 2021 (till midnight).

  1. Driver 

    • No of posts: 7
    • Job Location: Guwahati (HQ), Dibrugarh, Tezpur, Jorhat, Sivasagar, Nagaon

  2. Peon 

    • No of posts: 21   
    • Job Location: Guwahati, Jorhat, Dibrugarh, Nagaon, Tinsukia, Sivasagar, Silchar, Barpeta, Bongaigaon, Diphu, Mangaldoi, Karimganj, Hailakandi, Behali, Kakopathar, Joypore, Titabor, Khowang, Lanka, Chaygaon

  3. Chowkidar  

    • No of posts: 8 
    • Job Location: Guwahati, Jorhat, Dibrugarh, Nagaon, Tezpur, Golaghat, Lakhimpur, Patharkandi

 Educational Qualification –

  • Driver: Applicant must read upto Class-X and must have a valid 4(FOUR) wheeler driving license (LMV) issued by District Transport Officer, Govt of Assam and must have recent Government Doctor certified vision certificate.
  • Peon / Chowkidar: Class-VIII passed.

 

Age Limit  – Candidate should not be less than 18 (Eighteen) years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 1st January,2021. The relaxation of upper age limit shall be applicable as per Rules to OBC/MOBC, SC, ST(P)& ST(H).

 

Scale of Pay & Grade Pay:

  • Driver: Rs. 14,000 – Rs.60,500/- + G.P. Rs.5, 200/- PM
  • Peon/ Chowkidar: Rs. 12,000/- Rs.52,000/- + G.P. Rs. 3,900/- PM

 

Application Fees: No application fee is required as per Govt. Notification NO.FEG.32/ 2016/12 dated. 21stMay,2018. 

Mode of selection for Commissionerate of Labour Assam Grade 4 Recruitment 2021

All candidates whose applications are accepted irrespective of post they applied for,shall appear  for  objective type  written examination. Date  and  venue  of examination  centre  will  be  intimated  in  their  admit  card.  

The  syllabus  for  the written test will be published at a later date in the same website.

Final selection for the post of Peon and Chowkidar will be on the basis of merit list at the ratio of 1:4.For  the  post  of  driver,  shortlisted  candidates  based  on  merit  at  the  ratio  of  1:4 will be called to appear for driving test. Final selection for the post of driver will be based on marks obtains in written test and driving skill test.There will be no viva-voce for all categories.

How to apply for Grade 4 Recruitment 2021 in Commissionerate of Labour Assam

  1. Interested  candidates  shall  have  tofill  up  the ONLINE  application Formavailable in the official website- https://labourcommissioner.assam.gov.in/. Applicant can apply for 1 (one) post only. Applicants  are  required  to  apply  online  only  within  last  date. No  application will  be  accepted/entertained  after  the  expiry  of  the  given  time. No  offline application will be accepted.

  2. Before   applying   candidates   are   advised   to   carefully   go   through   the instructions provided in the website.

    Issue of Admit Card: 

    • Admit card will be issued electronically. 
    • Date for download of Admit card will be published at a later date in the website.*

Note:Date,  Time  and  Venue  of  examination  shall  be  notified  in the given official website in due course of time.

 

Documentsto be uploaded:

  • One recent Passport size photograph.
  • Signature of the applicant.
  • Date of Birth proof (school certificate, admit card, birth certificate issued by the competent authority)
  • Permanent Residentship Certificate/Domicile certificate
  • Caste Certificate. (if applicable)
  • Class VIII certificatefor peon / chowkidar
  • Class-X certificate for driver
  • Valid driving license issued by the appropriate authority, Govt of Assamfor driver
  • Recent Government Doctor certified vision certificatefor driver.
  • Valid employment registration card issued by District Employment Officer. 
  • EWS certificate issued by the appropriate authority for EWS candidates.
